Labor interrupted

I am still reeling from the news that I got a 2.75 in Labor… Labor for crying out loud! My favorite subject for the sem and I got the crappiest grade for it. And I am part of the Labor group, I’m supposed to know the subject better than the average student, right?! Pardon me if I sound arrogant, I am just blown away that I did so bad. A 2.5 would have given me less grief. Haha! I’ll settle down in a minute… Well good news is I did well in Criminal Procedure. So, should I consider a career handling criminal cases instead of becoming a labor arbiter, as I had planned? Grabe talaga. This grade changes things. Mag-Labor group pa ba ako next sem? Parang nakakahiya na. And to think my mother is an expert on labor issues (head kasi siya ng HR dept) at nagdidiscuss pa kami palagi on the way to school! Hay, oo nga, nakakahiya talaga that I’m not my mother’s daughter. Nag-expect lang kasi ako dahil sa lahat ng effort but then, I should know better. Such is law school. Deal with it already!

I know nothing sucks more than getting a grade lower than what you expected but what matters most is that you learned a lot right? Cliche, but true. Law school may be unfair but just remember: it’s about the knowledge you acquire, not the grade you get. Good luck satin sa 2nd sem!
